230409 Mentoring In just over a month the first round of the mentoring program for members of the PMI Germany Chapter ends. The overall feedback is very positive and offers helpful recommendations ahead of the preparation for our second round, targeted to kick off in Q1/24. 

In mid-December, the first round of our mentoring program will be completed. In this initial round, 68 participants embarked on a journey of sharing experiences and mutual support. 33 mentors are guiding 35 mentees - including 8 members of the PMI Chapter Ukraine. Even though this round is still ongoing, the feedback we (as program team) did receive through an anonymous survey is quite encouraging for us. 

Adaptation is the order of the day for modern companies. According to a recent PMI global survey on project management, two-thirds of organizations are engaged in ongoing and continuous digital transformation. Other priorities include changing corporate strategy (36%), introducing new technologies (34%) and expanding into new markets (32%). All of this is associated with more or less far-reaching changes. In order to manage these changes, you need future-oriented project teams.

How can project managers build and maintain such high-performance, future-oriented teams?

From October 25-28, 2023, the PMI Global Summit 2023 was held in Atlanta. With over 3,500 attendees, this was the largest in-person event ever hosted by PMI.

231030 PMOGA PMI has signed an agreement to acquire the PMO Global Alliance (PMOGA), the largest global community of PMOs and PMO professionals.

PMI and PMOGA share a passion for empowering project management professionals and organizations to create more value. With this acquisition, PMI strengthens its ability to support and develop project management professionals. The merger will enable PMI to pool resources, knowledge and talent to create new and exciting opportunities for its members.

The PMI Thought Leadership Team is working to create a series of articles on Artificial Intelligence with "Real-Life Applications". The goal of this series is to highlight the practical applications of AI in various projects and industries. To this end, we are seeking testimonials from professionals who have successfully integrated AI into their projects.

On November 8, the Sustainability Summit 2023 will take place. It is a virtual event organized by several European PMI Chapters, including the PMI Germany Chapter.

In today's fast-paced and ever-changing business environment, project managers face the constant challenge of delivering projects successfully while adapting to changes and demands. Kanban Project, Program and Portfolio Management (KPPM) is becoming increasingly important as a solution to these needs. It is important to emphasize that KPPM is not an alternative to traditional PM methods, but complements and improves them.

Promoting and advancing the application of professional project management in all areas of society is PMI's major overarching goal. With almost 700,000 members, PMI is the world's largest organization in this field. For many, simply being a member of this great family is a benefit in itself. However, being a member of PMI and the PMI Germany Chapter brings many additional benefits. These are often not even known. For this reason we are going on a search for you and from now on we will present a "Benefit of the Month" every month.

In addition, there are a number of other works that define standards and to which every member has free access. We would like to briefly introduce two standards to you in the following.
